HJ197    A shallow bowl by Shoji Hamada.

The pattern in this bowl is well documented and was one that Hamada used often and over a long period. I think based on a flower head it is created with wax resist, iron pigment and seiji glaze ( Nuka glaze with an addition of copper oxide producing the green colour). Kaki glaze over all.

9.25 inches diameter    2.6 inches tall.
