A rice bowl with its lid by Hamada Shoji. Nuka glaze with pours of Tenmoku glaze.
There is no box with this piece but these bowls are well documented. Similar bowls appear in various books and particularly the Horio Mikio collection at the Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka. The bowls alone are sometimes used as Chawan in Japan.
