HJ33 Yunomi by Hamada Shoji.

The Kaki glaze was and is made entirely from a local building stone in Mashiko. The stone is ground to a fine powder and then added as an over layer to an ash celdon. The resulting red glaze has become synonymous with Hamada and by association to other potters in Mashiko.

3.6 inches tall.   With a signed and sealed wooden box.  Circa 1950.
