PR438   A Wood fired Chawan.

A wood fired Chawan with a paddled pattern.  The fluid ash glaze amplifies the effect of the pattern. The lines stand less than 1 mm but because of the pooling of the ash glaze there is a 3 dimensional effect which gives the impression that there is depth to the surface pattern.
