H255 A yunomi by Shoji Hamada
The brush motif on this yunomi is one that Hamada used often both on yunomi and Chawan. Two different iron pigments…one made from Tenmoku glaze with a little ash and the darker one from iron from a local blacksmith. The proportions of this cup and the relationship of the decoration to both scale and form make it a bit special in my estimation.
3.25 inches tall with a signed and sealed wooden box.
