S61 A Hexagonal Box by Shimaoka Tatsuzo.
A quite beautiful box with six sides and chamfered lid by Shimaoka Tatsuzo. Rope impressed pattern with red and green enamel within circles. The rope impressed pattern has created a lovely deep contrast between the dark body and the white, inlaid slip. A really first rate example of one of these boxes.
With a signed and sealed wooden box.
